moth

6 October 2007 at 17:05 (Uncategorized)

in darkness of night
over silhouette plains
i watch as the moths
orbit round the dim flames

as light dwindles
they remember those martyred
then in a swift vortex
their god has departed

In the bright of the day
I look up to the sky
I’ve done 23 laps of this flame.
The light’s as consistent
as the way people argue
the attraction cannot be explained
